Abstract Submission Guidelines

07-10 March 2023 with over 10 sessions – Kigali Marriot Hotel, RWANDA

Deadline for abstract submission

2nd January 2023. Abstracts submitted beyond the deadline will not be considered.

Abstracts should adhere to the following format:

 

Title (Font 14, Arial, bold)

Author(s) : First Name Author(s) Last Name (Font 12, Arial, bold)
Organization/Affiliation,  Country, and Presenting Author’s E-mail address(Font 10, Arial)

Format:

The body of the abstract is limited to 400 words (excluding headings).

Please include the following sections in your abstract: Background/Purpose, Objective, Methods, Results, and Conclusion

  • Abstracts must be written in English or French.
  • Use line spacing of 1
  • Font: Arial
  • Set paper size to A4 format with 20mm margins
  • Do not write page numbers on the pages

Research Topics

Abstracts should describe research relevant to one of the following topics:

  • Clinical Forensic Medicine (physical-, sexual-violence, etc)
  • Forensic Medicine (e.g., forensic pathology, forensic imaging)
  • Identification, conservation and preservation of human remains (DNA-Analysis, anthropology, and archaeology, management of the dead in catastrophes)
  • Biometrics (e.g., securing of evidence, methodology of criminal technical units, Crime Scene Management)
  • Legal Issues (e.g., transplantation laws, organ and tissue bank set-up)
  • Psycho–Social Aspects (e.g., gender-based violence, posttraumatic stress disorder)
  • Medical Education (e.g., Development of Forensic-related curricula)
  • Other relevant research projects in the field of forensic sciences
