African Society of Forensic Medicine

We are honoured to announce Rwanda’s successful bid to host the 2023 edition of  the African Society of Forensic Medicine (ASFM) International Conference as announced during the 8th ASFM Congress in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. 

The 10th International Conference of the ASFM, as previous meetings, is a continent-wide meeting that will bring together an expected 300 forensic science practioners from across Africa and beyond to discuss issues partaining to forensic science practice on the African continent. 

Topics of discussion during the the conference will be centred on: Management of the dead; Identification of deceased migrants; Disaster response and management; Prevention of gender-based violence and crime scene management as well as harmonized evidence-based forensic science practice on the African Continent  among others
